• The Maryland Autism Waiver is a state-funded program that helps children and young adults with autism receive support at home and in their communities — instead of in an institution. It offers services like IISS, respite care, and more to help families manage daily life and promote skill development.

  • Children and young adults (up to age 21) who:

    • Have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder

    • Are on the Maryland Autism Waiver registry

    • Meet the program’s medical and financial eligibility

    • Are assigned to a service provider like Roncare Services through their case manager

  • We provide services in the home, community, and other natural environments where your child spends time. This may include local parks, grocery stores, libraries, or after-school settings — wherever growth and support are needed most.

  • To begin, your child must be registered on the Maryland Autism Waiver Registry. You can join the waitlist by calling 1-866-417-3480. Once selected, you’ll be assigned a case manager who will help you choose a provider like Roncare Services.
